All the Tools You Need to Succeed
Workshops in R |
Guest Speakers |
DAnC provides an open learning space for beginners or long-time coders alike to learn how to use R, GitHub, certain R packages that are key to data analysis or data wrangling and more. Past workshops have included introduction to R, dplyr, ggplot, for loops, functions and GitHub.
NetworkingNot only does DAnC provide learning experiences through workshops, guest speakers and other events, it also builds a community of like-minded people. This community along with certain events such as a grad student panel allows for networking which could help in current or future career endeavors.
|
Typically, DAnC hosts at least two guest speakers a quarter. Guest speakers include professors, faculty members or grad students that utilize R when analyzing data and composing publications as well as those that work for data analysis research centers such as the National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis (NCEAS).
Career AdviceThrough our great team of officers and events such as guest speakers or grad panels, DAnC offers career advice and a group of people who will discuss career goals and how you can build skills to help you reach your aspirations.
